Center Parcs sought to improve their holiday search experience, which was suffering from user drop-offs and usability issues.
A user-centric redesign focused on simplifying the search process, reducing cognitive load, and aligning with customer needs.

I collaborated with Center Parcs to define their target audience and conducted user interviews and usability testing on the current platform. This involved creating a recruitment screener, facilitating sessions (with stakeholders observing), and analysing user feedback to identify key pain points and desires.
I performed a heuristic evaluation of direct competitors (e.g., Haven, Butlins) and companies with strong search functionalities (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com). This analysis highlighted best practices in usability, UI design, and technical features, informing potential solutions for Center Parcs.

Leveraging user research, business requirements, and competitive insights, I designed concepts for the end-to-end search flow, including results and lodge viewing.
A key focus was enabling users to easily browse imagery and compare lodge features directly from the search results, streamlining the decision-making process and reducing clicks. The updated UI prioritised visuals and optimised date selection and result comparison.
