Rolls-Royce Aerospace needed a UX upgrade for their suite of critical web applications used by Business Aviation users for engine health insights.
Refreshed app designs and a comprehensive Design System to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience across all applications.

To kick things off, I led a focused design sprint to deeply immerse myself in the project. My work included in-depth experience mapping and conducting interviews with subject matter experts in both the UK and US.
This crucial research grounded all subsequent design decisions in a solid understanding of both user needs and the key business objectives.
To validate our concepts, I created interactive prototypes and took them directly to the source. I conducted usability testing and gathered crucial feedback from target users at a Business Aviation conference in Madrid.
This direct, real-world engagement with end-users provided invaluable insights that allowed me to refine the design direction and ensure a truly user-centric solution.

To guarantee long-term efficiency and consistency, I developed a comprehensive and flexible Design System. This process began with foundational wireframes and evolved into a complete library of reusable UI components, style guides, and design tokens.
This system not only streamlined the development process but also established a unified design language for the entire application suite, making it easy to scale and maintain.
My work established a comprehensive Design System, providing the foundation for a scalable, cohesive, and user-centric experience. I leveraged this system to design a suite of key applications, such as a news platform, customer forum and action tracker which were successfully handed off for development.
This has since created a seamless and unified experience that elevates the daily workflow for Business Aviation customers.
